Purchasing Associate
The Purchasing Assistant helps maintain our supply inventory levels and negotiate deals with potential vendors. S/he will be responsible for learning company purchasing policies and procedures, and maintaining supply inventory levels required for effective company operation. S/he will also be charged with conducting regular price comparisons to ensure that the company is always getting the best price for each product that is purchased.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Purchasing Management
- Initiates bids/quotes from suppliers based on received RFQ
- Prepare Purchase Requisition based on bids/quotes received
- Prepare Purchase Order from negotiated bids/quotes
- Delivery and shipping coordination from third party suppliers
- Verification and endorsement of items received against purchase order
- Tagging of fixed asset purchased
Vendor Management
- Vendor sourcing, qualifying and re-qualifying
- Application of credit terms from vendor
- Preferred vendor proposal and nomination
- Liaise with supplier or third party to ensure on0time delivery
- Rate negotiation from supplier
Statutory Compliances
- Application/submission of report to PEZA for Fixed Asset purchases
- Liaise with supplier for VAT exempt bills
- Review of Vendor Contract/Agreement
- Liaise with customs and PEZA regarding shipments and deliveries
Other Functions
- Inventory custodian
- Preparation of reports and presentation requested by the Purchasing Manager
- Assist the finance team upon request
- Perform Fixed Asset count
- Perform adhoc projects
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate, Bachelor's/College Degree, any field
- Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures and solid organizational skills
- Applicants must be willing to work in Quezon City
