Senior Web Developer
The Senior Web Developer coordinates and implements new web development, maintenance, modification, and enhancement. The incumbent negotiates system architectural needs, analyzes system and business requirements, estimates scope, and develops project plans from written specifications. Additionally, the Senior Web Developer collaborates with user departments and other technology teams to implement work requests and support production systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains web documents and site templates using agreed upon tools, tag libraries, coding standards, and validation tests
- Identifies issues and develops solutions designed to meet specifications defined by the client
- Manages the architectural design and structure of the page layout and navigation
- Maintains technical and project documentation, conceptualizes the development process with wire framing, and integrates usability
- Enforces quality by performing team code reviews and developing coding standards
- Advises management by estimating scope and impact of large projects
- Manages, routes, and archives work in a content management system and source code repositories
- Seeks and participates in development opportunities and maintains knowledge in field of expertise
- Extend support to teams in their daily production queue by helping build and validate websites following the set general process and account specifications.
- Completion of daily website target set by management to ensure SLA requirements of client
- Timely assessment of order’s complexity to communicate with team leader and/or client for change of expectations in delivery
- Advises management by estimating scope and impact of large projects
- Assess and recommends if task/s is/are within or not in scope with existing products.
- Mentor fellow web designers and measure their success
- Help team leads in queue monitoring and client communication via Skype or email
- Ensuring the proper logistics of orders by assigning them to the rest of the team
Job Specifications:
- Basic programming skills and in-depth knowledge of HTML5 & CSS. Knowledge on PHP, MySQL and Javascript is a plus.
- Basic experience with Domain Management, Server Management and File Management
- Integrate data from various back-end services, servers, databases and SSL
- Is persistent in finding solutions and is able to comprehensively read into the depth of forums such as Stackoverflow.
- Has the ability to assemble gathered clues from research to creatively formulate sustainable solutions
- Web / graphical design skills
- Basic understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
- Understanding of Content Management Systems concepts and design either in WordPress, Wix, Shopify, ECWID.
- Has knowledge on well-optimized graphics and understanding of how they relate to the quality of web-based output
- Understanding of web navigation, usability principles, and how code is displayed in various web browsers
- Basic knowledge on Search Engine Optimization is a plus.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a changing technical environment
- Sensitive to the importance of website and network security.
- Excellent analytical, creative logic and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills and able to assess client requests with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines
- Willing to work on shifting schedule and ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
- Willing to work on other Web Development accounts aside from Special Project
Skillset and qualifications:
- Experience in creating websites using any (CMS) Content Management System.
- Advance Web programming using HTML and CSS. Knowledge in basic JavaScript, PHP and other languages is a plus
- Web and graphic design skills and knowledge
- Experience with well-optimized graphics and understanding of how they relate to the quality of web-based output
- Understanding of web navigation, usability principles, and how code is displayed in various web browsers
- Basic knowledge on search engine optimization
